Neto to Shopify migration, without losing your rankings, your SKUs or your sales channels
Since Maropost took over Neto, a lot of Australian store owners feel the platform pulling away from them: a bill that now climbs with your sales, a roadmap that went quiet, and a storefront built for back-office operations more than for selling. Neto has probably run your whole operation, from your catalogue and inventory to orders, shipping and your eBay and Amazon channels, so leaving feels risky. We move you to Shopify with every product, variation and SKU intact, every Neto URL redirected, your channels reconnected and your inventory and fulfilment re-homed, so you keep your Google rankings and your history and gain a storefront built to convert.

Why Neto owners are moving to Shopify
The Neto owners who call us are rarely unhappy with ecommerce itself. They’re unhappy with where Neto has gone since Maropost took over in 2021. Four themes come up again and again.
Your bill now climbs with your sales
Since the Maropost acquisition, merchants report Neto shifting from a flat plan to revenue-based pricing, with rises reported around 70%, then a further 84%, and roughly 3× over three years. The better your store does, the more you pay, so the growth you worked for turns into a bigger invoice. Shopify is a predictable monthly plan plus card rates, so your platform cost stays steady as you scale.
The roadmap went quiet after Maropost
Merchants report the Neto roadmap slowing and support moving offshore since 2021, with few new storefront or checkout features while the rest of commerce moved on. Shopify ships constantly, from Shop Pay to native markets and a checkout most platforms can’t match.
Fewer apps, and fewer people who know Neto
Neto lists a limited set of Add-ons; Shopify’s App Store runs to thousands, and far more agencies and developers build on Shopify than on Neto. When you need a feature, an integration or a fix, help is much easier, and usually cheaper, to find.
Built for operations, not for conversion
Neto is strong at inventory, B2B Customer Groups and multichannel back-office. But sales growth now comes from a fast, mobile-first storefront and checkout, and that’s where a modern Shopify theme is ahead. You keep the operational backbone and gain a storefront built to sell.
What we move off Neto, and what we protect
Neto gives you proper export tools, so this move is cleaner than most. Here’s what comes across without fuss, what we handle by hand, and the two things that can’t make the trip.
Products, variations and SKUs
We export your catalogue through Neto’s Product Import Wizard and bring over your products and their Variation Products, the parent and child SKUs, with every SKU, price and SKU specific such as Size and Colour. Your specifics become Shopify options, variants and filterable tags, so the storefront still filters the way your shoppers expect.
Customers, without a password reset
Names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and order history export through Neto’s Customer Export Wizard and land on each Shopify customer. Neto passwords can’t move, but nobody has to reset one: Shopify accounts sign in with an email and a one-time code. Your Customer Groups map to Shopify customer tags or Shopify’s B2B tools.
Orders, discounts and your content
Historical orders and discounts come across through Neto’s Sales Orders and Category Content export wizards, and your Content, Blog Posts and Web Pages move with their titles and meta descriptions, so the pages that already rank keep the search value they earned.
Reviews and Kitted products, handled before launch
Neto lets you export your product reviews, so your social proof comes with you. We set up a Shopify reviews app such as Judge.me or Yotpo first so they have somewhere to land. Kitted and Bundled products have no native Shopify equivalent, so we rebuild them with a bundle app rather than lose them.

Will I lose Google rankings when moving from Neto to Shopify?
No. Rankings live with your URLs and your content, and both come across. The catch with Neto is that it keeps products and categories at the root of your domain, so when Shopify moves them under /products/ and /collections/, every address changes at once, which makes the redirect map the whole game. We 301 each old URL to its closest Shopify match, and Google reads a 301 as “this page moved here” and passes the ranking on. You’ll usually see a week or two of movement while Google recrawls, then it settles. After that, most Neto stores we move pick up a little ground: Shopify’s CDN and current themes tend to post better Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP and CLS) and better mobile scores than an older Neto storefront, and Google uses those to rank. There are no guarantees on a jump, but clean redirects plus a faster store is what Google rewards, usually inside a month or two.
Will old Neto URLs redirect to the right Shopify pages?
Yes. Neto keeps products and categories at the root of your domain: product slugs, some with a trailing ~ID, and nested category paths with a trailing slash. Shopify moves them under /products/, /collections/, /pages/ and /blogs/, so every URL changes. We crawl your store to pull every live URL and map each one to its matching Shopify product, collection or page, with discontinued products pointing to their parent collection, so nothing lands on a dead end.
Can you migrate all the data from Neto?
Yes. Products, Variation Products, SKUs and SKU specifics, customers, order history, discounts, your Content, Blog Posts and Web Pages, and your product reviews all export through Neto’s wizards and come across. Kitted and Bundled products are rebuilt with a Shopify bundle app, since Shopify has no native equivalent. Stored card details never move, for PCI reasons.
What happens to the eBay and Amazon channels?
Neto’s multichannel is a real strength, and you don’t lose it. Shopify connects to eBay, Amazon and other marketplaces through sales-channel apps such as Shopify Marketplace Connect, so your listings and inventory stay in sync from Shopify. We reconnect each channel as part of the move and test it before launch.
I run the whole operation in Neto: inventory, purchasing, shipping, POS. What happens to all of it?
It’s a fair question, because Neto is an all-in-one, not only a storefront. Here’s how each piece lands. Your products, stock levels and warehouse locations move into Shopify’s native multi-location inventory. In-store selling moves to Shopify POS. Shipping carries on much as it does now: Starshipit connects to Shopify just as it does to Neto, alongside Australia Post and Shippit apps. The one place Shopify is lighter than Neto is deep purchasing and supplier management. Shopify covers day-to-day stock, and anything heavier, such as purchase orders, demand forecasting and kitting at scale, moves to a dedicated inventory app or an IMS such as Cin7, which we scope with you first so nothing in your back office goes dark on launch day. We don’t use Shopify’s Stocky app for this, since Shopify is retiring it.
Will my customers have to reset their passwords?
No, though this one surprises people, because it feels like logins should move. They can’t: passwords are stored hashed, so nobody (us included) can read or re-import them. It doesn’t matter, because Shopify doesn’t use stored passwords at all. Customers enter their email and get a one-time code to sign in. Their addresses, order history and Customer Group all carry over, so the only thing that changes is an easier login.
How long will moving off Neto take?
Most of the time goes into the URL map, data checks and testing, not the switch itself. Your catalogue size, your Variation Products and the number of channels and integrations set the timeline, so you get a dated plan with your quote, and we launch in your quietest traffic window.
Will you redesign the storefront, or keep it like-for-like?
Your call, and you’ll get a straight recommendation on the review. If organic search is your main channel, we usually launch close to your current Neto look so nothing unsettles Google, then improve conversion in tested steps once rankings settle. If the storefront is the weak link, and on Neto it often is, since the platform was built for operations more than for selling, we rebuild it to convert: a custom theme, or a proven, CRO-ready Shopify theme such as Warehouse, Impulse or Symmetry, with the product page, cart and checkout tuned from there.
What will a move off Neto cost?
It depends on how many products and SKUs you’re moving, how many channels and integrations need reconnecting and whether the storefront is redesigned. After a free review of your Neto store, we send a fixed quote in writing, so the number doesn’t move unless your scope does.
How your migration runs
Your current store keeps taking orders until launch day. Most of the work happens before the switch.
01
Free migration review
A call with Shivam about your store, traffic, catalog and integrations. You get a straight answer on whether moving makes sense, then a fixed quote in writing.
02
Audit and URL map
We crawl your site, pull your top pages from analytics and Search Console, and map every URL, product field and integration before anything moves.
03
Build behind a password
Your Shopify store, theme and integrations are built and your data imported on a password-protected store while the old one keeps selling.
04
Test and launch
Test orders, refunds and emails, plus redirect checks on your most-visited pages. We launch in your quietest traffic window, then sync any orders placed during the switch.
05
Monitor and grow
After launch we watch Search Console, crawl errors and conversion rate and fix what comes up. Then, if you want, we move on to CRO and marketing.
What we put in writing
Thrivepine is a new agency, so we don’t have public reviews yet, and we won’t make any up. Every proposal includes these four commitments instead.
A fixed price
The quote is the price. It changes only if you change the scope, and you see the new number before we do the work.
Everything in your name
Your Shopify store, theme code, data, domain and app accounts belong to you from day one, so you can work with anyone after us.
Redirects checked twice
Your most-visited pages are tested before launch, and the full redirect map is crawled again after launch.
30 days of launch support
Anything that breaks in the first 30 days after launch is fixed at no extra cost.
Founding client program
Our first 10 migration clients get founding-client pricing. In return, we ask for an honest testimonial and permission to publish the project as a case study with real numbers.
