WooCommerce to Shopify migration, without losing your rankings or your WordPress content
WooCommerce gave you control, and with it a second job. You own the hosting, the SSL, the backups and the uptime, and every WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin update is a small gamble on whether checkout still works tomorrow. We migrate your WooCommerce store from WordPress to Shopify with every product, variation and order intact, every /product/ and /product-category/ URL redirected, and your blog posts and pages brought across. You keep your Google rankings and your content, and hand the hosting, security and maintenance to a platform that handles all of it for you.

Why WooCommerce owners move to Shopify
The move off WooCommerce is rarely about the software, which is capable and free. It’s about everything around it that you quietly end up owning. These are the reasons WordPress store owners give us most often.
Every update is a gamble on your plugin stack
A WooCommerce store is WordPress core, the WooCommerce plugin, your theme and often twenty or thirty more plugins, each updating on its own schedule. One of them changes and your cart, checkout or product page can break without warning, usually when nobody is watching. On Shopify the platform, checkout and apps are built to work together, so a routine update doesn’t take the store down.
You’re the host, the admin and the security team
Self-hosted means self-responsible: the server, the SSL certificate, the backups, the WordPress and PHP updates and the security patching are all yours, and WordPress is the most-attacked platform on the web. Shopify is fully hosted and PCI DSS Level 1 certified, with security, backups and uptime handled for you, so there is no server to harden and nothing to patch at midnight.
Speed keeps slipping as the catalog grows
WooCommerce runs on your hosting, so as your catalog and traffic grow the store slows unless you keep paying for faster servers, caching layers and optimization plugins. Shopify serves every store from a fast global CDN that scales with your traffic, so a busy season doesn’t turn into a slow storefront.
The real cost is the stack, not the software
WooCommerce is free, but a real store rarely is. Managed WordPress hosting, a premium theme, and paid extensions for shipping, subscriptions, bookings or search add up every month, and a developer on call adds more. Shopify is one predictable plan with most of that built in, so the monthly number stops creeping upward.
What we move off WooCommerce, and what we protect
WooCommerce keeps your catalog in your WordPress database and exports cleanly, so most of this move is methodical rather than risky. Here’s what comes across as it is, what we rebuild, and the pieces that need a plan.
Products, variations and attributes
We export your catalog through WooCommerce’s built-in Product CSV Importer and Exporter and bring across your Simple and Variable products, with their Attributes and Variations becoming Shopify options and variants, plus SKUs, prices and images. Product categories and tags map to Shopify collections, so the way shoppers browse stays the same.
Customers, without a password reset
Names, emails, phone numbers, billing and shipping addresses and order history move onto each Shopify customer record. WordPress stores passwords hashed, so they can’t be migrated, but nobody has to reset one: Shopify accounts sign in with an email and a one-time code.
Blog posts, pages and the SEO work in them
This is where rushed WooCommerce migrations go wrong. Your WordPress posts and pages, and the titles and meta descriptions your SEO plugin set on them, are often what ranks. We move your posts into the Shopify blog and your pages across, keeping that metadata, so the content that earns your traffic keeps earning it.
Subscriptions, reviews and page-builder layouts
A few things have no direct Shopify match and need rebuilding rather than importing. WooCommerce Subscriptions and Memberships move to a Shopify subscription or membership app; product reviews need a reviews app such as Judge.me or Yotpo set up first; and layouts built in Elementor or another page builder are rebuilt on your Shopify theme, since the builder itself doesn’t come across. We scope these with you before launch so none of them is a surprise.

Will I lose Google rankings when I move from WooCommerce to Shopify?
No. Rankings sit with your URLs and your content, and both come across. We set a permanent (301) redirect from every old WooCommerce and WordPress URL to its closest Shopify page, which Google reads as “this page moved here” and passes the ranking on, and your titles, your post and page content and your sitemap move with it. Expect a week or two of movement while Google recrawls, then a settle. From there most stores we move tend to gain a little: Shopify serves pages from a fast global CDN and usually posts better Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift) and mobile scores than a plugin-heavy WooCommerce store, and Google uses those to rank. No one can promise a jump, but clean redirects plus a faster store is exactly what Google rewards.
Will old WooCommerce URLs redirect to the right Shopify pages?
Yes. We crawl your store to pull every live URL: WooCommerce’s /product/ and /product-category/ pages, your /shop/ page, and the WordPress posts, /category/ and /tag/ archives and pages around them. Each maps to its matching Shopify product, collection, blog post or page, and discontinued products point to their parent collection, so nothing lands on a dead end.
Can you migrate all the data from WooCommerce?
Yes. Simple and Variable products with their Attributes and Variations, product categories and tags, customers, order history, coupons, and your WordPress posts and pages all transfer, exported straight through WooCommerce’s Product CSV tools and WordPress. Reviews need a Shopify reviews app installed first, and anything running on a WooCommerce extension, such as Subscriptions, is rebuilt with a Shopify equivalent. Stored card details never move, for PCI reasons.
What happens to WooCommerce extensions like Subscriptions, Bookings and custom fields?
Each is handled on its own, because none has a one-to-one import. WooCommerce Subscriptions and Memberships move to a Shopify subscription or membership app that keeps your recurring customers billing; Bookings moves to a Shopify booking app; and custom fields from Advanced Custom Fields or a similar plugin map to Shopify metafields so the data stays attached to the right product. Layouts built in Elementor or another page builder are rebuilt on your Shopify theme. We list every active extension before we start and tell you exactly how each one lands.
Will my customers have to reset their passwords?
No. WordPress stores passwords hashed, so they can’t be migrated, but they don’t need to be: Shopify customer accounts sign in with an email address and a one-time code. Each customer’s addresses and order history move across with their record, so the only thing that changes for them is an easier login.
How long does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration take?
The switch itself is the short part. Most of the work is the URL map, the data checks and testing before launch. Your catalog size, the number of active plugins and extensions, and whether the storefront is redesigned set the timeline, so you get a dated plan with your quote, and we launch in your quietest traffic window.
Will you rebuild the WooCommerce storefront, or launch it like-for-like?
Either, and you get a straight recommendation on the review call. If organic search brings in most of your sales, we launch close to your current look so nothing unsettles Google, then roll out conversion changes in tested steps once your rankings settle. If the storefront or a sprawling page-builder theme is the weak link, we rebuild it to convert, on a custom theme or a proven, conversion-focused Shopify theme such as Dawn, Impulse or Symmetry, and tune the product page, cart and checkout from there.
What does a WooCommerce to Shopify migration cost?
It depends on how many products and orders you’re moving, how many plugins and extensions need a Shopify equivalent, and whether the storefront is redesigned. After a free review of your WooCommerce store, we send a fixed quote in writing, so the number doesn’t move unless your scope does.
How your migration runs
Your current store keeps taking orders until launch day. Most of the work happens before the switch.
01
Free migration review
A call with Shivam about your store, traffic, catalog and integrations. You get a straight answer on whether moving makes sense, then a fixed quote in writing.
02
Audit and URL map
We crawl your site, pull your top pages from analytics and Search Console, and map every URL, product field and integration before anything moves.
03
Build behind a password
Your Shopify store, theme and integrations are built and your data imported on a password-protected store while the old one keeps selling.
04
Keep what works, improve the rest
We don’t rebuild for the sake of it. Pages and layouts that already earn sales and rankings stay close to what you have, and the rest is rebuilt to Shopify’s conversion (CRO) best practices: a faster product page, a clearer cart and a shorter checkout. Where it earns its place, we add a proven Shopify app for reviews, bundles or on-site search, such as Judge.me, Rebuy or Searchanise, rather than build every feature from scratch.
05
Test and launch
Test orders, refunds and emails, plus redirect checks on your most-visited pages. We launch in your quietest traffic window, then sync any orders placed during the switch.
06
Monitor and grow
After launch we watch Search Console, crawl errors and conversion rate and fix what comes up. Then, if you want, we move on to CRO and marketing.
What we put in writing
Thrivepine is a new agency with an experienced team, so we don’t have public reviews yet, and we won’t make any up. Instead, every migration is backed by a written guarantee and four commitments in your proposal.

A fixed price
The quote is the price. It changes only if you change the scope, and you see the new number before we do the work.
Everything in your name
Your Shopify store, theme code, data, domain and app accounts belong to you from day one, so you can work with anyone after us.
Redirects checked twice
Your most-visited pages are tested before launch, and the full redirect map is crawled again after launch.
